On the last day of 2014, I published a list of the top independent Kinja posts of the year. The feedback we got was overwhelmingly positive: the team here really liked seeing what people were using our platform for. More importantly, writers were generally happy to have their work highlighted.
In order to keep the good vibes going, we created a Twitter bot, KinjaCommunity, that tweets out popular Kinja posts. This bot works by occasionally checking the Google Analytics API for the posts getting the most traffic over the last few hours, and then tweeting out a post that hasn't already been tweeted. On Fridays, it also tweets the top 5 posts of the week by traffic.
This account is totally unmoderated, so click at your own risk, especially late at night. But if you're interested in following what's happening across Kinja (and, sometimes, popular older posts) check out the bot at https://twitter.com/kinjacommunity.
